Dawn is one of those people who genuinely cares – not in a fluffy, motivational-poster way, but in a very real, roll-your-sleeves-up, “let’s figure this out together” way. She has a sharp understanding of how interviews really work in practice, especially for experienced professionals who are quietly thinking, “Why does this suddenly feel so hard when I’ve been doing this for years?”
She’s perceptive. She notices what people don’t say, where confidence has been knocked, and where brilliant experience has somehow gone a bit invisible. She’s particularly good with people who are capable, conscientious, and self-critical, the ones who blame themselves when the system is actually the problem.
She doesn’t turn people into scripted robots. Instead, she helps them sound like themselves again but clearer, braver, and more convincing. There’s warmth there, humour, and humanity… but also structure, standards, and a quiet insistence that her clients stop underselling themselves.
And here’s the bit she probably won’t say out loud:
Dawn holds herself to a higher bar than she expects of anyone else. She thinks deeply, reflects constantly, and sometimes carries more responsibility than she needs to. But that same thoughtfulness is exactly why people trust her and why they feel steadier after working with her.

She’s the coach you’d want in your corner when your confidence has taken a wobble, your brain has gone blank, and you need someone to remind you, calmly and convincingly, that you actually do know what you’re doing.

Every client is different and they come from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds. They also have a broad range of previous experience of interviewing.

My Interviewing Experience
The majority of my interviewing experience was gained during 12 years as an In-house Recruiter: 6 years within Manufacturing and Engineering and 6 years of experience working in a Corporate Bank in the City of London.
Prior to being an in-house Recruiter I had hiring experience as a team leader in the NHS and then as a Manager in the Private Healthcare Sector. I was responsible for the recruitment for the South-East of England and this gave me valuable experience to move into HR.
- Screened approximately 1 million CVs
- Interviewed over 10,000 candidates for 100s of vacancies
- Coached hundreds of clients transitioning from the public sector to private!
- Trained hundreds of hiring managers to Recruit Right!
